General Info:
I'm looking for a band to start in September. I'm posting this now because I really am sick of unorganized bands.
Looking to play Heavy Metal/ Hard Rock (covers and originals) with influences such as Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Judas
Priest, and/or lighter stuff such as Rush, Bad Company, Alice Cooper. Not entirely against Power Metal or Hair Metal either,
but I'm not looking for Metallica/Pantera type stuff or Nu-Metal.
Also, IF this band forms, I would like it to be rather serious. i.e. two to three hours of music by October, playing
out multiple days a week by November. A lot of work, I know, but there are way too many half-assed bands around.
Third, anybody who has a decent place to practice or a PA system will catch my attention, as I have niether.

What I'm looking for:
All positions: Ideally, I'm looking for people ages 18-24, but this isn't in stone, any age would be fine. Drug and
Alcohol use should be moderate at worst only for reliability reasons. Personally, I don't give a damn what you do so long
as you're able to perform for practice and gigs. Having decent equipment helps, but I'll be the first to say that I don't,
so whatever.
Guitarists: I'm really looking for two guitarists of at least moderate talent and with similar style, not really a lead
and a rhythm guitarist. Think Iron Maiden. The ability to solo IS A MUST, even if not the cleanest. Creativity must go
far beyond single chord riffs. The ability to sing back up is a positive but not a must.
Vocalists: I want power and more power. A strong falsetto would be nice, but I'm not that picky, so long as your style
works. If you can sing anywhere near the likes of Ronnie James Dio, Bruce Dickenson, Sebastian Bach, or Dee Snider I want
you. However, even if you can't, I'm still interested in what you CAN do if you've got some talent. I can handle growling,
but its not ideal. No wimpy-ass punk or emo singers. I'd also rather stay away from the Pearl Jam/Nirvana/what every modern
rock band sounds like vocals. I stress again however, IM NOT PICKY. Also, as with all lead singers, charisma and theatrics
are necessary. NOTE: I'd rather have the guitarist and lead vocals not be the same person for reason that a vocalist without
a guitar can use hands to engage the audience. But if you are good singer and guitarist, I'd take it.
Drums: I am used to a pretty tight drummer, so my standards for this might be a little high. I really can't say what
I'm looking for in drums, its really something I can only hear. So if you're a decently talented drummer interested in old
fashion rock and/or metal,I'm interested.
About Me: I'm a bassist of about 4 years (though I feel I've learned quickly) My style is greatly influenced by Steve Harris
(Iron Maiden) and little by Getty Lee (Rush). I have a very small amount of Post Secondary Education in music theory (one
class) but its more than enough for Rock. I can write guitar and bass lines but I'm not much of a vocal or drum writer.
In a bind I can sing back up, but its not too pretty. If people are indecisive about what direction to take the band, I don't
mind stepping in and taking the lead, but I'd much rather it was a group effort.
Non musically will be going to MATC next semester, and will hopefully be working somewhere, unless this band gets to the
point where we make $400 a week a piece (which i wouldn't mind). Now, I'm not really in it for the money, but I got rent,
tuition, and hopefully a new amp to buy. Anyways, I'm not much of a partier, but I'll throw a few back now and then. I live
with my Fiance in an apartment on the south-central side of town. Other than that, not much to tell, I guess
